Magnet FUN!

We had a great time using magnets with different objects. We tested ribbons, keyrings, coins, paper clips, buttons!

We used bar magnets and horse shoe magnets. We found out that our school bar magnets are stronger and picked up more items!

We pulled our toy cars across the racetrack.

We measured our race track using cubes. Our race track was 12 cubes long!

Our trip to St.Brigid's well

Last week to celebrate the saints feast day, we walked to St. Brigid's well.
We said a prayer to remember her.

 We thought about all the work she did, how she got the land to build her convent
and how she looked after the poor.

We really enjoyed this experience.
Thank you Saint Brigid, It is nice to remember your special day

Fun with Ice !

 Experiment in Room Six:

We observed our two ice snowmen. We put a coat on one and left the other without.

The scientists in Room six discovered how to keep a snowman longer!! 

Christmas Antics!

We enjoyed the build up to Christmas, we were very busy decorating our classroom and Christmas tree.
We did a great job making our Rudolph faces, stockings and our Christmas cards.

During activity time we worked hard in Santa's workshop; designing, making and wrapping the toys for the good children.  You'd better watch out!

Santa came to visit us, we had a great day in the hall. We all sang our songs for him and he entertained us by playing the tin whistle.

We are happy to be back at school now, bright and breezy and ready for work!

The Journey of a Letter HO HO HO!

  

 This week we wrote letters to Santa to let him know how hard we work in room six. Today we went on a trip today to the postbox to post our letters to Santa. We are really looking forward to Christmas. Thanks to Ms Flemming, Ms McKiernan and Sr.Mary who planned our route!

It's all about "Clothes"!

This week we learned all about the clothes we wear; in the snow, in the sun and as Gaeilge too! We used all different recycled materials to make each piece of clothing.
This is is our poem;

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

We emptied our our green bin to see what was in inside. We wanted to make sure that everyone is using the bins properly. We won't tell you what we found!!
