The Journey of a Letter HO HO HO!

This week we wrote letters to Santa to let him know how hard we work in room six. Today we went on a trip today to the postbox to post our letters to Santa. We are really looking forward to Christmas. Thanks to Ms Flemming, Ms McKiernan and Sr.Mary who planned our route!

HO HO HO!!!

We passed our letter from back to front & then straight into
                                    the post box!

It's all about "Clothes"!

This week we learned all about the clothes we wear; in the snow, in the sun and as Gaeilge too! We used all different recycled materials to make each piece of clothing.
This is is our poem;

Eadaí

Bríste uaine
Geansaí buí
Ca bhfuil mo hata ?
Aon, dó, trí

Cóta dubh
Caipín donn
Cá bhfuil mo hata?
Níl se ann

Léine dearg
Carbhat gorm
Cá bhfuil mo hata?
Tá sé orm.

We got our class photo taken under the Autumn Tree.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

We emptied our our green bin to see what was in inside. We wanted to make sure that everyone is using the bins properly. We won't tell you what we found!!

An apple a day keeps the doctor away!

Room six enjoyed tasting all the different fruits. We used a pineapple slicer to get the pineapple rings. We complied a data chart to discover the most popular fruit. The children's favourite was grapes. We will make a special effort to include fruit in our healthy lunches.

Fashion Show in Scoil Mhuire !!

Many thanks to the parents for all your help providing materials and designing costumes for our recycling fashion show. We used newspapers, juice cartons, cereal boxes, ribbons and card to make our hats and headbands. We had great fun and I'm sure everyone will agree that all the children look great.
